Management Elk

Management bulls are either bulls that are missing a point or two, or younger 5 point bulls.

Trophy Elk

Trophy Elk hunts are usually a 6X6 or better. Our success rate has been 100% on guided hunts on our preserves.

Trophy elk hunts are for bulls up to 330”.

Buffalo

Average success rates for guided buffalo hunts have been 100% on our preserves.

Buffalo Hunt (1.5-3 year old bulls)

Royal Hunts (3-6 year old bulls)

Breed Bull Hunts (6+ year old bulls)

Upgrade Elk

Upgrade Elk hunts target the larger and more impressive specimens. Our average success rates for guided elk hunts have been 100% on our preserves.

Upgrade elk hunts are for bulls from 330”-360”.

Trip Length: Enjoy a five-day, four-night stay at our lodge.

Essentials: Amenities included such as towels, soaps, toilet paper, bedding, first aid kits, etc.

Meals and Dining: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be prepared by our on-site chef.

The Experience

Arrival and Welcome

Check in at our lodge: Begins typically around noon, following an airport pickup. You’ll be greeted by our staff and can settle into your accommodations while enjoying the scenic views of the ranch.

Orientation Meeting: Join the head guide for an orientation session to discuss your upcoming hunt, safety protocols, and other important details. This is also a perfect time to check your hunting equipment and firearms with a trip to our private shooting range, ensuring everything is ready for the next day’s adventure.

A Typical Hunting Day

Early Morning: Start your day with a delicious hot breakfast at the lodge, fueling up for the day ahead.

Morning Hunt: Travel to the hunting grounds using your preferred mode of transport — ATV, hiking, or horseback. Your personal guide will lead you through the best spots for a successful hunt.

Midday Break: Depending on the time of year and length of the days you will return to the lodge for a home cooked lunch and a brief break, then head back out for the afternoon.

Afternoon Hunt: Continue your hunt with adjusted strategies to improve your chances of success and maybe you can close the distance on that dream animal you got a glimpse of that morning.

Evening Return: After a fulfilling day, return to the lodge for dinner prepared by our chef, and share tales of the day’s adventures with fellow hunters.

Relax in our lodgings that combine modern amenities with a traditional touch, ensuring a comfortable stay. Enjoy access to recreational facilities and common areas within the ranch to unwind after a day's hunt.

Dining and Meals

We cater to all dietary needs, ensuring each meal is a highlight of your day including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Guide and Staff Interaction

You will have a personal guide throughout your stay, an expert in both the local terrain and wildlife. Our staff are on hand to assist with any needs, ensuring your hunting adventure is both successful and enjoyable.

Conclusion of the Hunt

At the end of your hunt, our team

  • Prepare your cape and antlers for taxidermy

  • Transport your carcass to a butcher of your choice or debone and quarter to a size reasonable to bring home.

* Meat packaging and direct shipping arrangements are selected by the hunter.

Check out is smooth and assisted by our friendly staff. We ensure that your departure is as welcoming as your arrival, with transportation back to the airport included.

1.Start out going South on Bangerter Highway away from the Airport exit

2. The Highway splits; stay left

3. Take the I-80 East ramp heading towards North Temple Street

4. Merge onto I-80 Eastbound

5. Take the I-215 exit (#117) towards Ogden/Provo/Cheyenne

6. The freeway ramp splits; stay left

7. Merge onto I-215 Northbound

8. Take the I-15 exit

9. Merge onto I-15 Northbound

10. Take the US-89 North/highway 225 exit (#326) heading towards I-84 East/So. Ogden/Lagoon Dr./Farmington

11. Merge onto US-89 North

12. Take the I-84 East ramp towards Morgan/Evanston/UT-167/Huntsville

13. Merge onto I-84 East

14. Take the exit (#92) heading towards Mountain Green/Huntsville

15. Turn left onto highway 167 at Sinclair Station (in Mountain Green)

16. Turn left onto East 900 South, which becomes UT-39

17. Turn right onto highway 158, continue to 4-way stop

18. Turn left onto highway 162 and continue to the next 3-way stop

Spike Camp Hunters meet here at noon (Liberty Park) State Rte Hwy 162/4100 N

19. Turn left going West on 4100 North

20. Turn right at 3300 East which turns into 3100 E. and proceed two miles to a large wooden gate on right side of highway

21. Go through the gate and travel to the end of the dirt road, about 1.5 miles (keep left), to the Lodge
